In the ident above the way they have used typography has made the ident rather strange and the concept or idea of the ident is lost, the typography is so bad that it is difficult to identify the channel that is been promoted here.
Size: The size of an ident is really matters because it allows the ident to be visible enough to be seen and clear to the audience, if its too small they won't be able to see it and they will not know what channel they are watching. And having it big may confuse the audience and sometimes it might pixelate as it is been stretched. size is relevant when it comes to the graphical resolution as the ident wants to be seen clearly throughout the ident it should follow certain font sizes and consistency throughout the whole ident.
Colour:
Colour is important in an ident because it is how a channel is recognised and sometimes sets the tone of the channel as well as giving the viewers a visual representation of the channel through the ident.
Due to this colour becomes a limitation because most television industries have already branded them selves with specific colours and can't be used by others and there are just certain colour pallets that just can't be used on live broadcast as it cause noise and clipping when the colours are too bright, there fore restricting idents to work with colours that are only broadcast safe which means that certain colours
In other words, Colour can be seen as a limitation because there are existing colours and certain ones that cannot be broadcasted.
This is an example of broadcast safe. This means that only certain colours can be broadcasted on TV. For example the colours red, green and blue must have values of 235 or less on TV otherwise it will come up too bright and can cause a screen buzz or 'clipping'.

Aspect Ratio: this is the dimension in which the idents are displayed, in Tv the main aspect ratio required for live broadcasting is 16:9 reason been that the people these days now have big flat screen TVs and a 4:3 dimension will look very small on flat screen Tv's and most of the information will be lost as the 4:3 dimension makes it look like a box.
The limitation here is that when creating an ident the content creator will have to make enough content to fill up most part of the screen, and diffrent device have diffrent aspect ratios so they need to make them for diffrent devices. for example the resolution on an iphone is different from the resolution on a Tv screen so they will have to make an ident for both the iphone and the tv screen.
Resolution: this is all about making the video or ident clearer for the viewers to see and it also makes the ident look smooth and silk more interesting. In this present day and age technology has improved so much that we have very high definition resolutions the limitations with these resolutions is that it brings out every piece of detail in the video or ident and its very space consuming. There are new resolutions out there that are up to 4k but for television and youtube the standard resolution is 1080p.
Youtube have improved in this present age that it gives the user the option to increase the resolution of the video they are watching to high as 4k.
